On May 27, Finspång once again transformed into a vibrant meeting place for runners, families, companies, and local organizations during the 10-year anniversary of Gladsheim Finspångs Stadslopp. This year’s event reached a new milestone with a total of 2,246 registered participants, including an impressive 913 children – making it the biggest edition in the event’s history.
As a proud local company and full service supplier of advanced industrial wire machinery, Lämneå Bruk was excited to participate in this fantastic community event. In total, 31 colleagues from Lämneå Bruk took part in the races and activities throughout the day, contributing to the positive atmosphere and team spirit that characterized the entire event.
The race, organized by Finspångs SOK, offered several distances including the 7 km Stadslopp, AktivRundan, and the popular children’s race XL Bygg Lilla Slottsrundan. Start and finish took place in Bruksparken in the heart of Finspång, where thousands of visitors gathered to enjoy the festivities and cheer on participants.
At the Lämneå Bruk booth, we wanted to create an experience that reflected both innovation and fun. Many children visited us during the evening and especially enjoyed our ring toss game, which quickly became a popular activity among younger visitors.
Guests also had the opportunity to explore Lämneå Bruk through our VR experience, giving them a unique look into our company and our work as a Made in Sweden wire machinery manufacturer serving customers worldwide.
Another appreciated activity was our No Twist Coiler puzzle challenge, where visitors could test their problem-solving skills while learning more about one of our well-known technologies within industrial wire machinery and custom wire machinery solutions.
What made the evening truly special was the incredible atmosphere throughout Finspång. The streets were filled with cheering spectators, music, activities, and runners of all ages. The event continues to grow every year and has become an important tradition that brings together companies, organizations, and the local community.
For Lämneå Bruk, participating in events like Finspångs Stadslopp is about more than running. It is about supporting local initiatives, encouraging health and teamwork, and contributing to the strong community spirit that defines Finspång.
